Mount Gambier Community and Recreation Hub

Mount Gambier City Council along with the Community Reference Group (comprised of individuals representing sporting, recreation and stakeholder groups), completed this $391 million dollar community recreation hub.

Gerflor was sought to provide 3 courts of 2,700m2 in Connor Sports North American Maple with Neoshock system. This type of sports floor is Level 1 FIBA approved. FIBA is the world governing body for the sport of basketball endorsing professional basketball competitions.

The dance room of the hub provides a professional learning space of 130m2 Connor Sports North American Maple on Rezill Sleeper system offering a floating system to enhance shock absorption.

Lastly, the fitness room is covered with 300m2 of Powershock 300 (30mm rubber tiles) in Dark Grey. The rubber tiles in this area are to provide extreme resistance to heavy weights and high traffic.

2018 saw the conceptualisation of this wonderful project and its materialisation in 2022 has been widely appraised and congratulated by the city community.
